Korean visa photo requirements at a glance
The Korea Visa Portal specifies a natural-colour photograph measuring 3.5 × 4.5 cm. The official visa eligibility form describes a full-face, front-view colour portrait taken within the last six months against a white or off-white background, without a hat.

Completing a Korea Visa Portal e-Form is not always the final submission. For supported categories, applicants print the barcode form and visit the responsible Korean diplomatic mission with the required documents.
Face position and expression
Face the camera directly with the head centred and upright. Use a natural, neutral expression and keep both eyes clearly visible. The complete face should remain unobstructed by hair, glare or accessories.
Do not crop so tightly that the hair or chin touches the edge. Leave a balanced margin suitable for a 35 × 45 mm print.
Background and lighting
Use a clean white or off-white background without objects, texture or hard shadows. Light the face evenly and preserve natural skin tones. Avoid red-eye, blur and strong reflections.
Wear clothing that contrasts with the background so the shoulders remain visible. A white shirt against a bright white wall may reduce separation.
Digital e-Form and printed documents
The Korea Visa Portal can request a scanned digital photograph for the e-Form. The portal also lists a natural-colour 3.5 × 4.5 cm photograph among the documents taken to the diplomatic mission.
Check the embassy or consulate instructions for file type, quantity and whether a printed photograph is still required. A successful online form does not automatically mean the entire application is online.

Print preparation
When a physical photo is requested, print on appropriate photo paper at actual 35 × 45 mm size. Disable printer scaling and measure a test copy. Do not stretch a square or 2 × 2 inch image to fit.
Keep the original file and a spare print in case the mission asks for a replacement.
